Who we are

Our programme of work uses a wide range of research approaches seeking to improve the quality of antenatal care for women in Malawi and Zambia. The study includes improvement of digital maternal health data collection, qualitative research to understand the needs of vulnerable populations, such as adolescent mothers, and the co-design, implementation and evaluation of interventions to improve antenatal care health services. We also aim to improve detection of sexually transmitted infections during pregnancy, and to build capacity for institutions and individuals. Our work will implement behavioural change approaches across work streams, to improve the quality of care offered to mothers and families during pregnancy.
